Federal TEACH Grant Program

Through the College Cost Reduction and Access Act of 2007, Congress created the Teacher Education Assistance for College and Higher (TEACH) Education Grant Program to provide grants of up to $4,000 per year to students who intend to teach in a high-need field at a public or private elementary or secondary school that serves students from low-income families.

  2. Contact your Student Advocate at one of the phone numbers below.
  3. A LETU Financial Aid representative will determine your eligibility and contact you regarding the next step in the process.

Because the Federal TEACH Grant only applies to students intending to teach as a highly qualified teacher in high-need subject area fields at schools serving low-income students, eligible LeTourneau students must be enrolled in one the following LETU degree programs:

Elementary Education

  • Interdisciplinary Studies (EC-6th) WITH Supplemental English as a Second Language OR
  • Supplemental Special Education

Secondary Education

  • Master of Education (Teaching and Learning option) (Texas Secondary Education Certificate)
